About Slacker Photos
SlackerPhotos.com came to be thanks in large part to a family vacation. A cruise to Alaska. Figuring that this would likely be a once in a lifetime event, I wanted to make sure I captured as much of the trip as possible. A point-and-shoot camera was just not going to give me the results I wanted. So, I picked up a DSLR and a couple lenses and started shooting. The plan was to take as many photos as possible before the trip to make sure I knew how to use the camera inside and out prior to our vacation.
I haven’t yet figured out what my favorite type of photography is yet. I enjoy taking long exposure shots and I am also a fan of street photography. I would certainly love to get really good at travel photography. I guess that would require traveling some more. Darn.
I have no aspirations of ever selling my photography or being published in a book or magazine. I’m simply in it for the enjoyment of seeing what I can do. Though, I do enjoy sharing them online and getting feedback from others.
Thanks for checking out the site. If you see a photo you like, please feel free to leave a comment. I’d love to hear what you think!
Cheers,
John
